“The Archbishop of York Youth Trust Grant has helped us to build an excellent online training resource for the Aurora training courses launched this September. We have a wide range of people signed up to the course, from those already working or volunteering with children and young people, to those keen to learn more and use the course as a stepping stone into future work or training opportunities”
Dan Finn, Director of The Archbishop of York Youth Trust said:
“It’s great to see the impact that this course is having and its efforts to deliver great youth work in local communities. I’m delighted that we were able to support Aurora through the Trust’s Grant Making Programme. I hope that through these training courses many people will be inspired to reach out and work with young people, and in turn help them to change their communities for the better”
Aurora offers training courses for youth and children’s leaders, volunteers or workers. The training courses have been developed by the YMCA White Rose and the Diocese of Sheffield, in partnership with Cliff College. Mike North, Director of Youth Ministries for Sheffield Diocese and Course Tutor said:
“The Aurora courses in youth or children’s ministry help to develop skills, knowledge and understanding in both the practical and management sides of ministry. Both courses offer the Bishop’s Certificate on completion, and for students achieving a higher level, the Cliff College Certificate in Youth or Children’s Ministry will be awarded.”
